History of Trinity Yachts
Trinity Yachts’ historical roots date back to the 1970s, when John Dane III, an Olympic sailor went to work for Halter Marine. Known today as one of Trinity’s two facilities, Halter Marine was a commercial and military shipyard in New Orleans. Dane’s purpose and vision to work for Halter Marine was to expand the shipyard’s operations into the luxury motor yacht segment, in which he founded Trinity Yachts in 1988.
In 2000, Dane acquired the shipyard along with partners Billy Smith and Felix Sabates, owner of Victory Lane Enterprises. After the merger and forward-thinking design changes, the shipyard started attracting customers from all over the world and was highly successful, with an order book of superyacht projects in the double digits.
It was with those new, innovative models and partnerships that laid the foundation of ultimate success for Trinity. Today, Trinity Yachts operates out of two shipyards in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Gulfport, Mississippi, on 100 waterfront acres, with 20 acres under cover for production, fabrication, and outfitting. Some popular Trinity builds include their first model named the 150’ Tri-deck M/Y Magic, M/Y New Horizon, M/Y Finish Line, M/Y Reem.1, M/Y Lady Sura, M/Y Tsumat, M/Y Areti, M/Y Lady Linda, M/Y Carpe Diem, and M/Y Falcon.
Not only do these stunning motor yachts appeal to the eye, but they also offer remarkable interior design, efficiency, and extensive space onboard. Quality and integrity are evident in Trinity’s luxury superyachts, resulting in a legacy of superiority for more than 30 years.
