Apreamare must be doing something right. Like many other designers and makers of fine Italian boats, Apreamare has been in business for a long time—170 years and four generations of the Aprea family, to be exact. Attention to detail, luxurious touches, consistent performance, and seaworthiness are hallmarks of the brand.
Modeled after traditional Italian fishing boats called gozzi sorrentino, Apreamare boats are still made by the Aprea family. Gozzi sorrentino originated in Sorrento, Italy, in the seventeenth century. Their simple design, classic lines, and sturdy construction have stood the test of time and still appeal to modern mariners. Seasoned captains offer tours in their gozzi to tourists, cruising along the Italian Riviera and stopping at points of interest along the way.
Eight models appear in the signature Apreamare line, ranging in size from 32 to 64 feet. While the smaller craft are more suited to day excursions and short overnight stays, the larger models easily accommodate guests for longer trips. All of the models in the Apreamare line offer plenty of room in the bow and stern for sitting and lounging.
The Apreamare Smeraldo 45’s interior and exterior were designed with the cooperation of architect Tommaso Spadolini; its hull lines and engine room, Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design & Service Studio. For a mid-size craft, the Smeraldo boasts amenities normally reserved for bigger boats: marble-topped bathroom sinks, mosaic-decorated walls, full-size kitchen appliances, and gleaming mahogany finishes throughout. It can reach a maximum speed of 32 knots.
The Apreamare Gozzo is the result of a ten-plus-year partnership between Apreamare and designer Brunello Acampora of Victory Design. This small but powerful craft is designed for the captain who loves to challenge the sea and churn waves. It has a wide deck and low, slender deckhouse with a disappearing windscreen. Below deck are a generous berth and sleek bathroom with a walk-in shower; a well-equipped, retractable, ventilated kitchen; and a second cabin with a double bed. Available with either a single or twin engine, the Gozzo features a state-of-the-art propulsion system and navigation technology, including joystick maneuvering and digital mapping systems.
The Maestro line is the cream of Apreamare’s crop. The three models, ranging from 56 to 82 feet long, are brimming with luxurious extras to accommodate a crew and guests in style and comfort. Onboard you’ll enjoy up-to-date navigation systems, a full-size salon with leather seating and 360-degree views, a bright kitchen, generous staterooms with ample lighting, walk-in showers, and plenty of outdoor seating for lounging and entertaining.
The Maestro 82 is particularly enchanting. Its ample salon with separate dining area is bathed in natural light, thanks to half walls of windows. A bright galley hosts a full-size refrigerator and oven and loads of counter space and cabinets. All staterooms have plenty of room to move and large windows, and some have en suite baths and separate closets. Warm woods are used throughout to give this vessel character and a welcoming ambience.
Whatever yacht is to your liking Apreamare is sure to answer the call.
