Admiral Yachts is the flagship brand of Italian Sea Group, one of the world’s largest conglomerate builders. With a focus on safety and comfort on a large scale, they make yachts that are super in size and can take heavy seas while surrounding the owner in beautiful spaces. Their corporate philosophy is that “The attention to detail at every step guarantees efficiency and quality,” and this can be seen throughout their production facilities in Marina di Carrara. The factory showroom features a comfortable leather and ebony embellished lounge bar and a fine dining restaurant with a Michelin starred chef.
The manufacturing of Admiral’s yachts began with wood yachts in the 1950’s under the brand Arcobaleno Super. As the yachts got larger, wood was abandoned in favor of light aluminum alloys and the company focus shifted to large motor yachts that were built to maximize safety and performance. Since their first alloyed craft in 1982, the shipyard has been producing steel and aluminum yachts exclusively. In 2011, Admiral was acquired by Italian Sea Group and currently produces ten different series up to 145 meters. They have come a long way since their humble 18-meter wooden yacht beginnings.
These yachts are for an owner who wants a fully custom yacht in a large package with bold Italian design. Built for performance and safety, their hulls allow for full speed operation in heavy seas. There are many designs to choose from and many options for the discerning owner. Large windows, curved lines, large sun decks and lavish interiors are common design features that appear in all of their yachts.
There are 22 different models currently being produced by Admiral, from the 37-meter Maxima all the way up to the 145-meter X Force. Except for the Regale, which has a planing hull, the rest of the line-up features displacement or semi-displacement hulls meant to cut through heavy seas and provide a stable ride. Outside areas are as much of a focus as interior spaces. Dependent upon the model, amenities onboard could include an infinity pool, helicopter pad, theatre or a car hangar.
Since 1996, Admiral’s parent company has launched 575 Mega Yachts and has evolved along the way while being consistent with the philosophy that has been a part of its success for over half a century. Large modern facilities enable the production of custom yachts up to 200m, and all of their yachts are customizable to meet the desires of each new owner. Whether you are interested in the X Force, Maxima or any one of their other 21 models, an attention to detail drives every design choice to ensure the highest quality possible.
