Machinery

HARBOR LADY has cruised between Florida and the Great Lakes at a relaxed 13 knots speed, keeping the engine load under 30% for smooth, low stress performance. Typical economical fuel consumption on the Mississippi River is 1 Gal./nm which is a very low load on the engines. 

Maintenance requirements are tracked by fuel consumption, not hours, and when all 24 injectors were replaced borescope of the 24 cylinders indicated the cross-hatching remained pristine.
