Single Malt 1 - a new listing that is boathouse kept in Ladysmith, BC. She was designed and built to be a tough long-range trawler, but comfort was key, a home away from home, a yacht that could take you out on short trips anytime and designed to be always ready. But when the urge to do some long-range cruising came up, she was fitted and easily capable to do 4,000 NM on one fill. Here are just some of the reasons why this yacht could be perfect for you. She just had recent major engine room upgrades including 2 New CUMMINS QSB6.7 300HP engines, New Navigation electronics, New refrigeration, multiple electrical and battery upgrades, entertainment center upgrades, anchoring upgrades and more. The hull of Single Malt 1 is a modified displacement design and a very strong fiberglass hull but incorporating Kevlar & Divinycell into the mold. A bulbous bow was added to reduce the ship's resistance and dramatically lower the fuel consumption. A very wide beam and rolling chocks also added to minimize roll. The bow & stern thrusters with cameras everywhere, enhance maneuverability and is the reason-no need for crew. The wider beam also enhances the interior living space. She embodies distinctive architectural elements that are customized for the owners. The recent upgrade list is substantial. The major mechanical refit took place in 2021.

A quick walk-through starts with entering from the cockpit, you will be in the salon and immediately experience the beautiful Brazilian Jatoba, Cherry & Maple woods. The style and quality of finish with the various exotic hardwoods are noticed right away. The open living space and the large bright windows surround you. Comfortable seating of various styles, an open concept galley, the separate wet bar station and a cabinet hidden new flat screen TV, create a great gathering spot. An open pilothouse, only few steps, still keeps everyone engaged in the journey. The pilothouse has some very nice touch screen Navigation upgrades. Reverse raked windows, cherry and fiddle wood interior, Navigator swivel helm seat, guest bench seating w/table and a day head is a part of the pilothouse. Port & starboard doors lead you to the exterior walk-around decks. Going down, a beautiful wide custom cherry wood spiral staircase, leads you to the private suites. They include individual bathrooms w/heated flooring, exceptional storage in each room, full walk-around beds and fresh air from opening portlights. This design ensures utmost comfort for extended stays at sea. Also, you have full size washer/dryer. The separation of the staterooms provides privacy, comfort, and luxury. Accessing the large standup engine room, easily done. Full beam opens up this space, giving great access to all the mechanics for the vessel. Very well laid out and also fitted with cameras. Moving aft you are entering the large lazarette. Home to a workshop, spare parts, batteries, tanks, watermaker, freezer and a lot more storage. Now moving to the flybridge, this is a beautiful open place to take control of the vessel. Maybe have an evening dining experience. Hang out enjoy the sun or evening cocktails. The view is exceptional. Solid hardtop over head, wrap around seating to lounge and kick back. A great place to read a good book! Newly added, smartly upgraded stainless steel safety railings. Open a small gate giving access to the davit and dingy. A larger New Nick Jackson 1500 lb davit just added.

Single Malt 1 could easily be classified as the ultimate couples cruising yacht and yet in the same breath could easily be described as a special pocket charter. All aspects of this yacht, from design, to engineering and build, have been meticulously crafted. Custom finishing, and joinery details are gorgeous. The thought about safety and comfort for long range cruising has been taken seriously. She is ready to go to her next owner.
