Accommodations

Standing in the roomy cockpit, you will find one large fish boxes with freezer plates -fighting chair, cockpit combing pads, cockpit freezer, engine room entrance, cockpit lighting, transom door, three cameras with digital recording capabilities, underwater lights, port and starboard 12 V power outlets for power reels, 6 custom Release rod holders, transom bait tank with window, cockpit fresh-and salt-water wash-downs, access to custom C-FAB towers (one of the nicest towers, you will ever see), and custom factory-installed electric barbecue grill. This equipment list is just for the cockpit; think how well the rest of this fishing yacht is equipped.

Going up the steps to the expansive air conditioned helm deck, we find a beautiful teak deck with teak steps. To starboard, we have cabinetry enclosing the tackle center, New washer & dryer, (see Helm deck for list of equipment). To port is a large seating area with custom table and rod storage beneath the side seat. Going forward, we have three forward-facing helm chairs, a large helm dash area with electronic display screens and incredible electronics, opening windshield, hardtop, full enclosure with air-conditioning, overhead compartment with teaser reels, and entryway to lower deck.

Going down the companionway stairs, we enter the salon with a teak and holly sole. To starboard, we have a day head, right at the bottom of the stairs. The large galley is also to starboard, with many cabinets and plenty of counter space. On the opposite side of the salon, we have a large U-shaped seating group with custom Hi-Lo table made by Release Marine. The table can be converted into a dining table. There is a New large flat-screen TV mounted on the forward bulkhead, rod storage overhead on the port side, with storage cabinets, and the electrical control panel at eye level. Moving forward, we find two large deck hatches into the bilge area; the second hatch was a custom option. This area can be used both for servicing equipment such as the air conditioners and water maker or for storage of bulk items. To port is the comfortable guest stateroom with two roomy bunks with hanging locker and storage lockers. Continuing forward down the companionway, we come to the master stateroom. The Master stateroom is well equipped; it has an island-style berth with multiple storage units underneath, hanging lockers, outboard overhead storage lockers, and a large New flat screen TV. Attached to the master stateroom we find the spacious master head, equipped with custom countertop and sink along with an enclosed stand-up shower.

Last, but not least, we enter the engine room from the cockpit. The engine room offers standing headroom and good access to the engines, with an assortment of optional equipment and two generators. Few boats of this size give you this much space in the engine room.

CABO 52 EXPRESS - Manufacturers Description

Cabo Yachts was founded in 1991 in Adelanto, California, and quickly established itself as a major player in the inboard sportfishing boat market, building express and convertible yahts from 31 to 52 feet. Cabo sportfish are prized by owners for their quality, reliability and fishability.

Top of the Cabo line, this pedigreed express-style fishboat’s modified V-hull was designed by naval architect Michael Peters, who is also known for his custom sportfish. Construction utilized advanced vacuum-bagging techniques for a lightweight yet strong hull. Big propellers also give the Cabo 52 Express enhanced performance. The engine room is large for a boat of its class. The clean, spacious cockpit is well-laid out for fishing action and features a transom door, 50-gallon recirculating bait well, bait-prep center, tackle storage, ice box, and excellent stowage space. The bridge deck, shaded by the hardtop, has a large, L-shaped settee. The helm is positioned on centerline for excellent visibility, and has a large, raised dashboard. There’s also a raised companion seat and more storage compartments to starboard. Steps lead down to the large, wood-trimmed galley, which has an impressive number of cabinets for a boat of this size. Opposite is the salon with L-shaped settee and cocktail table. Sleeping accommodations include a forward master stateroom with private head and a guest stateroom with double berth and a bunkroom, flanking the second head. Plus, the salon settee converts into yet another berth. You can take your whole angling crew out for a comfortable overnight on the spacious Cabo 52 Express.
