As the sky bridge model increases in popularity, Viking Yachts is now offering the option for the 72 Viking. The sky bridge offers fishing and cruising enthusiasts the best of both worlds with 360-degree visibility of an open elevated control station and the weather protection and the comfort of an enclosed bridge. Viking Yachts now offers the sky bridge option on the 92, 80, and 72 models. The in-stock 72 Viking Sky Bridge will be complete this summer.
The all-new sky bridge model will include four staterooms with a Kingston grey hull color. Interior designs will consist of walnut appointments with a satin finish. Not to mention, a host of fishing, top-of-the-line navigation, and convenience features.
Balanced Proportions
Viking’s 72 SB rendering highlights balanced proportions, with the hull, deckhouse, enclosed bridge, and sky bridge melding seamlessly together. Similar to the convertible models, the 72 Sky Bridge will include a fully-equipped walk-around center console with space for a group of electronics displays, flanking radio boxes, and plentiful seating for guests.
Reinforced Installation
The resin-infused hull is constructed with balsa and foam cores, carbon, and E-glass hybrid fiberglass laminates. This process allows the New Jersey yacht manufacturer to build the structure using the most efficient ratio of resin and fiberglass to ensure the greatest strength to weight ratio.
Twin MTU engines will be present on the 72 Viking Sky Bridge, which will attach via aluminum saddles to reinforce installation. The aluminum is powder-coated white and then dry-fitted in the boat to ensure proper engine alignment. After, they will affix the saddles to the tops of the stringers with a specialized adhesive for bonding aluminum and FRP materials.
