The Viking Yachts 44 Open is set to make its debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. Galati Yacht Sales wants to give you a sneak peek.
The Viking Yachts 44 Open is a picture of strength and style. An aggressive entry with over 6 feet of freeboard forward will easily shoulder aside the seas. The proud bow and gently sloping sheer illustrate Viking’s deep-seated talent for designing drop-dead gorgeous yachts.
The bridgedeck layout strikes the perfect balance between safety and comfort. The centerline helm station on a raised platform gives the captain enhanced visibility, while the nonskid-covered sole provides no-slip footing. Also, generous seating options include three adjustable pedestal seats with footrests. Plus a four-person L-shape lounge with a dinette table and a port console that holds refrigeration with an ice maker and stowage.
The 119-square-foot cockpit is tournament ready. With flush rod holders, rocket launchers, fresh and saltwater wash down systems, and a transom live well. Also, Mezzanine seating gives guests the best seat in the house for those bent rod blitzes.
In addition, the 44 Open makes full use of its 16ft. 4in. beam with a spacious, comfortable cabin. The salon functions as an inviting social area. It includes a dinette with L-shape seating (convertible for additional sleeping accommodations), two staterooms, a full galley and head, and shower. Privacy enhancements include the separating of the sleeping accommodations with the salon and galley. With the master stateroom forward and the second stateroom aft.
Furthermore, the Viking 44 Open is built with a resin-infused composite hull and a matrix of fiberglass encapsulated stringers, vacuum-bagged cored bulkheads, a customized E-glass lamination schedule and infused fuel and water tanks.
