Prestige M8 Catamaran – New Model Release

Prestige M8 Catamaran – New Model Release

Following the release of the M48 last year, French manufacturer Prestige Yachts has released information on an all-new catamaran model to hit the open seas very soon. Introducing the M-Line flagship model, the M8 Prestige — a 65-foot Catamaran that is respectful of the environment and provides a new dimension of comfort. The new M8 yacht was officially announced during the Prestige Press Conference on January 22nd at the Boot Düsseldorf Boat Show. The high-end catamaran yacht focuses on comfort and luxury within a free-flowing layout and luminous spaces, offering just as much room as an 85 foot monohull (902 sqft).

New Model, New Spaces – Prestige M8 Catamaran

The all-new M8 Catamaran highlights naturally illuminated rooms for a homey touch — a villa on the sea — targeted at a younger and more modern clientele. The 65’ Catamaran is unique to the market as its hull is exclusive to the model and 100% motor-focused — no constraints from traditional sailing catamaran yachts. With a hull focused on motor power, the M8 sits taller than a sailing catamaran but not as wide, offering unprecedented headroom space for greater comfort onboard. Her interior cabins are also full-width, spacious suites for added privacy and a functional life on the water. The M8 offers three ensuite guest cabins along with an owner’s suite, or owners can opt for the optional five-stateroom layout.

Prestige goes beyond the limits with the all-new M-Line flagship. The 65′ yacht features an expansive convivial flybridge with a table for up to 10 and large sunpads, a cockpit with infinite views of the sea, a large aft terrace that extends from the cockpit, an XXL forward saloon dedicated for sunbathing and relaxation, and an indoor saloon with refined designs.

Unmatched Stability

In any sea conditions, the M8 Prestige has been designed for better maneuverability and easier docking since the bottom of the hull and the central part have been positioned to offer the best balance. Better balance means better enjoyment of living spaces — including the open decks like the flybridge area and beach club. The reduction of rolling is also impressive at any given speed (or at anchor) simply because the hull does not need to plane to gain stability.

Environmental Conscience – Prestige M8 Catamaran

Prestige M8 Catamaran

With her unique hull, the M8 Prestige Catamaran offers a wide cruising range from 8-18 knots. In addition, she reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption — meaning lower costs and an environmentally friendly yacht. Compared to an 85-foot monohull, at an 8-knot speed, the M8 has a fuel consumption of 1,585 gallons versus 3,566 gallons. At 17 knots, she has a fuel consumption of 13,948 gallons versus 26,471 gallons for an 85’ monohull yacht, substantial cost savings for both scenarios. The M8 also has an eco-friendly manufacturing process with a high level of commitment. New materials and products such as PET foam core, infusion, curing by UV lamps, and recyclable composite are incorporated in the construction of the M8 Prestige.
