MARITIMO’S ULTIMATE SHOWCASE AT THE MARINE VILLAGE SANCTUARY COVE

MARITIMO’S ULTIMATE SHOWCASE AT THE MARINE VILLAGE SANCTUARY COVE

Leading Australian luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Maritimo, has officially launched a new waterfront facility at The Marine Village Sanctuary Cove. It will showcase approximately $10 million in bespoke, luxury vessels at any given time.

Maritimo Sanctuary Cove will become the company’s main sales and marketing hub on the Gold Coast. Giving prospective purchasers an opportunity to experience all aspects of the brand and its range of models.

The centre, costing several hundred thousand dollars, features a complete working replica of the galley from a Maritimo M70 cruising motor yacht. Also, the fit out of the facility showcases the various different high-quality timbers that are used to finish off the company’s range of vessels. With workstations manufactured in a variety of timbers by Maritimo’s craftsmen.

“The new centre at Sanctuary Cove raises the bar for Maritimo in terms of how we display our model range and will give prospective purchasers an unrivaled experience of the brand and what we offer, ” said International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines.

“The timbers and fabrics we use are all highlighted and there’s state of the art audio visual equipment showcasing Maritimo’s complete range. ” We will also be using the facility in conjunction with brand partners such as Miele to host celebrity chef cooking demonstrations and interactive master classes for our customers.

“Miele Ambassadors include celebrities like Maggie Beer and Shannon Bennet.  “Other events involving brand partners such as Maserati and various selected high-end brands will be held at the centre to broaden awareness and knowledge of the Maritimo range of vessels.

“Sanctuary Cove is an international standard resort with a global reputation so it is a perfect fit for Maritimo to locate its primary sales and marketing facility in Queensland.” The new Maritimo centre includes berthing for up to 10 vessels.

The City of Gold Coast Mayor, Cr Tom Tate, officially opened Maritimo Sanctuary Cove at 5.30pm on Wednesday, February 8.  In front of more than 180 invited VIP guests.

Greg Haines said Maritimo was now represented by more than 40 dealer partners in five continents around the world. The company’s high-quality vessels are gaining an international reputation.

Maritimo’s CEO Garth Corbitt said the creation of the Maritimo Sanctuary Cove centre was a continuation of Maritimo’s corporate expansion strategy and stated goal to increase awareness of the brand globally.

“The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is a major event on the world boat show calendar and attracts people from around the globe so our new facility will position us front and centre at that important event and gives us a prime base to showcase our products throughout the rest of the year,” he said. “The position and the Sanctuary Cove brand makes it a perfect fit for us.”

Maritimo produces bespoke motor yachts from 32 feet up to 70 feet in length. They directly employ more than 150 craftsmen and sub-contractors at its Gold Coast Marine Precinct manufacturing centre. In addition, there are hundreds of external contractors who provide goods and services to the company.

“Our aim is to produce the best motor yachts in the world,” said Garth Corbitt.

Maritimo Sanctuary Cove is a  133 square metre facility overlooking the main marina at the Marine Village Sanctuary Cove. It has been leased for a period of five years. It will incorporate Maritimo dealership, BMS, which has relocated from Runaway Bay.  Dealer principal Ormonde Britton says the extra berth space gives BMS the ability to display more of the models in Maritimo’s expanding fleet in addition to pre-owned vessels. ” We look forward to welcoming both old and new Maritimo customers to Maritimo Sanctuary Cove,” said Ormonde.

Furthermore, the Maritimo hub includes workstations, a manager’s office, meeting room, the M70 replica galley, samples boards, and audiovisual equipment. It overlooks Maritimo’s berths.

Sanctuary Cove general manager, Stephen Anderson, said Mulpha was thrilled to welcome yet another prestigious brand to The Marine Village.

“The long-standing partnership between Maritimo and Sanctuary Cove aligns strongly with The Marine Village’s reputation,” he said.  Mulpha said there is already a deep affiliation between Maritimo and the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, but for the brand to bring a permanent presence to The Marine Village will enable Maritimo to capitalize on leads every day of the year.
