MARITIMO YACHTS ARE BUILT ON RACING HERITAGE
Not all boat manufacturers actually do their R&D on the race course, but Maritimo Yachts, based in Australia, does. Just like Formula One racing is the proving ground for many car manufacturers, Maritimo uses offshore racing. Specifically, the Offshore Powerboat World Championship to glean every last bit of performance, weight and cost out of a boat. This has resulted in improved components and performance in Maritimo’s production boats.
To showcase their winning ways, the company just installed a floor-to-ceiling trophy case with trophies from the last three decades and has two Maritimo race boats on display in the factory in Australia. The company was recently featured in the goldcoastbulletin.com.au
