The newly released pictures of the first motor yacht catamaran in the M-line series by Prestige Yachts prove that it is nothing short of a private oasis out at sea. Distinct Motor Yacht Profile – Prestige M48
The M-line models are pure motor yacht catamarans, sticking to the core of Prestige’s 30+ year development in the motor yacht market. The M48 displays a motor yacht profile, similar to the flybridge range but different from what most are familiar with in a traditional catamaran. By focusing on the motor yacht design and excluding the adaptation of the sailing catamaran, Prestige produced a more optimized architecture and hull design for the M48. With a pronounced stepped hull, the 48′ Catamaran efficiently cuts through the waves and diminishes the effects of spray while onboard.
In addition, the nacelle has been sculpted to limit water slapping underneath while underway at any given speed. The M-line series models are also less broad and higher off the water, providing better use of the overall volume and more room for docking and mooring. Other benefits of catamaran yachts include better seakeeping and less motion sickness due to the reduction of roll and absence of planning.
Multi-Directional Flow – 48′ Catamaran Yacht
The fluid design of the M48 highlights a multi-directional flow, just like you are used to at home. Nothing hinders movement onboard. All the spaces have been carefully designed and executed in order to deliver a constant connection with the sea. The new hull base of the M48 optimizes space onboard and features 1400 sqft of living space while providing the utmost comfort inside and out.
The interior volume of the M48 can compare to that of a 60-foot motor yacht and displays 360° vision, exceptional natural light, and high visibility thanks to panoramic windows throughout the salon. With an innovative rectangular deck surface and reconfiguration of the deck and flybridge, the M48 provides multiple zones to relax and entertain. Speaking of entertaining, the fully equipped, user-friendly central galley not only makes preparing food simple and accessible but also facilitates the flow of movement while onboard.
Below deck, three spacious cabins, each with a private head, feature separate companionways and sizable living quarters. The newly optimized layout and wider beam allow for a lavish full-beam owner’s suite with 180-degree views of the sea and plenty of storage space. The M48 is also available with a 4 stateroom, 4 head layout if preferred.
The exterior space provides four separate social areas, including the aft beach club, swim platform, and garage, an open cockpit that connects to the salon via a large sliding door, the expansive flybridge, and the foredeck with a lounging area and XXL sun pad.

Smooth Cruising Standards – M48 Prestige Catamaran
Power Cats create a great experience onboard as they deliver smooth cruising standards at any given speed, thanks to the multi-hull design. The architecture of the catamaran provides natural stability at anchor and the twin hulls provide stability when underway. The Prestige M48 Catamaran has been optimized for cruising speeds of 8-18 knots, with a top speed of 20 knots. Relax at ease during extended travels and remote destinations, as Catamarans are notorious for reducing fuel consumption. The M48 Catamaran’s cruising range varies from 250 nautical miles at 18 knots to over 600 miles at 8 knots.
