Commanding the Blue-Water Arena
The main feature of the 46 Billfish is the 140-square-foot cockpit, with room for the entire crew or family. Providing the finest in fishability, the 46 Viking features a cockpit bait freezer with upper tray; in-deck insulated fish boxes port and starboard with overboard drainage; a walk-through transom door and liftgate; a transom fish box and live well; rod holders; tackle storage; and fresh and sea-water wash downs.
But that is not all, the cockpit sole is built with a laminated in-deck mounting plate for a fighting chair, rocket launcher, or table installation. The command deck can also be completely enclosed for those that enjoy a quick cool down between fishing spots. Highlights of the area include a salon-like living area with a spacious U-shaped lounge and hi-lo table and a lounge that extends along the starboard side. Both seating areas hold rod storage underneath.
Like Viking’s legendary convertibles yachts, the flybridge on the 46 Billfish features a tournament-style center console walk-around helm. The Palm-Beach style controls and power-assist hydraulic steering allow for ease of maneuverability while fishing the bills.
Recharge in Comfort
When it’s time to recharge, the 46 Billfish’s air-conditioned cabin showcases high teak cabinetry with custom Amtico flooring and a fully appointed galley with L-shaped Corian countertops. Amenities include a two-burner stove, microwave/convection oven, plenty of storage and under-counter refrigeration, and a built-in ice maker.
The 46 Billfish includes accommodations for up to four. A private forward cabin features an island queen bed, hanging lockers, and upper cabinetry storage. Easily accessible upper and lower bunks on the port side offer additional accommodations for guests. The private head conveniently located to port of the companionway stairs displays a large walk-in shower, a beautiful Corian-topped vanity with sink and storage, and a medicine cabinet with mirrored doors.
