Cruisers Yachts is expanding its manufacturing and production capacity by acquiring a nearby facility that formerly built Carver and Marquis yachts. KCS International, the parent company of Cruisers Yachts, spearheaded the transaction, which will allow the premier luxury yacht builder to further focus on a state-of-the-art, purpose-built manufacturing division located in a community with a highly skilled workforce and a heritage in yacht construction.
The Pulaski, WI facility is approximately 216,000 square feet and sits on about 15 acres of land. The new site includes enclosed, in-water testing, research, and development tank, which will help accelerate growth for the Cruisers brand. Mark Pedersen, President of KCS stated, ”Innovation in product design and marine engineering has always been critical to Cruisers’ success. We will continue our long tradition of offering our dealers and customers the best cruising class yachts in the world.”
Cruisers Yachts currently produces 16 models ranging from 33 to 60 feet and have been in business since 1953. In addition to their production expansion, Cruisers Yachts will also hire about 150 crewmembers to work at the new facility and nearly 75 additional members to operate out of their corporate headquarters in Oconto, WI.
“The opportunity to acquire this world-class facility will allow us to meet customer demands and expand our very aggressive new product development schedule. Our global dealership partners have done an excellent job expanding our market share across our full product line-up. We have experienced unprecedented growth over the past 24 months, and this facility will help us meet our customers’ current and future demands.
