These past few months, Galati Yacht Sales (GYS) has been focused on continuing education, industry relationships and investments in the future. These are all key factors that contribute to our success in exceeding your expectations.
Our team from across our west coast Florida locations gathered as members of the International Yacht Brokers Association. To attend their Annual Yacht Sales Summit. Being a member of this association allows us exclusive privileges including the Summit, professional development, legal advocacy, networking events, and legislative clout.
Continuous improvement is part of our company core values. Twenty years ago, Carmine Galati Sr. attended the FYBA (now IYBA). Later in 2004, he was elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors. He was re-elected in 2006 and continued to serve until 2009. Carmine urged the Board to produce educational seminars for West Coast members. These seminars became known as the WC Sales Summit. The same event our team just attended this year! This year’s summit focused on professional and career development by sharing the latest trends in marketing and selling your yacht.
Galati Yacht Sales sent six team members from four locations to Australia to tour the factory where Maritimo Yachts are built. We provided this opportunity to ensure our team is the most knowledgeable. Experiencing these yachts being crafted first hand from the stainless shop to the fiberglass layup, and even the Race Shop, the team was able to review the product, grow factory relationships, and gain a full understanding of the brand. While there, the team attended the Sydney Boat Show where they previewed the launch of the S70 and more.
In standard Galati fashion, we believe it’s our responsibility to know the products we offer inside and out. From R&D to the finished product. We will always continue to invest heavily in our team. It’s a direct result in their ability to help all buyers in making the best decision for their boating needs.
Ten Galati Yacht representatives were in England at the Princess Dealer Conference and factory tour. Where they previewed the facilities and sea trialed new models. Including the latest 75 and 68 Motor Yachts as well as the new S65. Also, the dealers in attendance had the opportunity toy preview the new 55 Flybridge, 62 Flybridge and S60 models. All the dealers in attendance had the opportunity to visit with Princess executive management team where they shared intimate details on the direction for Princess.
During the meeting, they heard from Princess CEO Antony Sheriff and Chris Gates about the vision and future of Princess. They are investing millions of dollars on manufacturing expansions and plan on re-engineering all their production areas. Furthermore, they are also heavily investing in new models and will be rolling out several over the months to come. There was also a presentation on naval architecture from Bernard Olesinski.
Princess is a vertically integrated company, as is GYS, and they do it all. They design, engineer, and build every component on their yachts. They, as GYS, are looking to provide a better yachting experience to their customers, family, and friends.
In addition, this week our team of 30+ are at the Viking VIP in Atlantic City New Jersey. This is where Viking is hosting their Annual Summer Sea Trial event. They are touring Viking Mullica where vessels 37’ to 52’ are built and previewing the new motor yachts. We were able to host customers aboard sea trails. As well as offer them hands-on experience to assist in the decision of their next vessel.
“Bringing more than 30 sales people to Viking demonstrates the company’s commitment to their customers and our brand,” says Pat Healey, President and CEO.
“Our entire business and most of all our customers benefit from our team’s investment in product education,” says Darren Plymale, Galati Yacht’s Vice President. “This education helps with our new boat buyers by offering the latest knowledge available direct from the factory. This supports our efforts with past, current and future products manufactured by our builder partners. As those clients evolve through their existing yachts into the latest new or pre-owned products, our sales professionals can best represent these yachts to potential clients because of the knowledge gained by attending these incredible events,” adds Plymale.
