CARMINE GALATI WINS 2017 MASTERS ANGLING TOURNAMENT
Carmine Galati, a principal with Galati Yacht Sales and Galati’s sales leader for Viking Yachts, won the 2017 International Masters Angling Tournament held in Los Suenos Costa Rica at the end of March.
The Masters, started in 1963 by John Rybovich, is a tournament that levels the playing field and rewards an angler for their ability to hook, catch and release a billfish.
The tournament is designed to test an angler’s skills with a dead boat and rewards points for catching and releasing quickly and penalizes for pulling too hard and breaking lines. Anglers fish a different boat each day with a different partner and use tournament supplied line, leaders and hooks.
