Every year, the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) pays tribute to yachting professionals that display a strong sense of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in the maritime industry. The 35th annual IYBA Awards were announced at an annual meeting, this year held in Sunrise, Florida on January 27. These awards are one of the most prestigious in the industry simply because nominations and awards are open to the entire IYBA membership community, where peers can voice opinions on which individuals best represent the marine industry in a professional and enduring manner.

This year, sales professional Carmine Galati Jr. was presented with the “Outstanding Young Professional of the Year” award. This recognition is awarded to a professional under 40 years of age who displays professionalism and strong ethics while contributing to the betterment of the industry through industry or civic volunteer work.
What’s more, each certified professional member of the IYBA organization is required to abide by a code of ethics to protect customers against fraud, misrepresentation, or unethical practices. Cornerstones of the association include education seminars provided to members to strengthen the ability of the industry.
