Boating Industry 2019 Top Dealers
For 15 years, Boating Industry Magazine been recognizing top dealers throughout North America for being the “best of the best” when it comes to running a marine dealership. The goal was not only to celebrate these top dealers but also raise the bar when it comes to professionalism in the marine industry. Since 2005, top dealers have been celebrated year after year for their commitment to the boating lifestyle. And though some might think the rating is based solely on units sold, there’s more to it than just revenue. The ranking is based more on qualitative data than quantitative. It’s based on how dealers run storefronts and the processes and practices that deliver the boating lifestyle to consumers.
It also looks deeply into employee retention and what the company offers its customers; and in turn, what their customers think of them. It’s based on best practices and outstanding initiatives. “Out of the thousands of boat dealers in North America, only the very best make the Top 100 list,” said Jonathan Sweet, director of the Boating Industry Top 100 Program. “These companies are the elite of the marine industry, excelling at all aspects of their business.” In addition, Boating Industry’s Top 100 Dealers list is the only independent ranking of boat dealers in the U.S.
Boating Industry 2019 Top Dealers Award Ceremony
On November 24th, Boating Industry held its annual black-tie gala at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, FL. Dealerships from all around the U.S came together to celebrate the achievements from this past year in the marine industry. Representing Galati Yachts Sales was Tampa Bay Sales Manager, Steve Gale, and COO, Darren Plymale. Boating Industry Magazine presented an incredible evening with dinner, entertainment and of course the awards ceremony. Companies were honored for making Boating Industry’s Top 100 List, along with honorary mentions for Boating Industry’s Legends (recognized all 15 years), and hall of fame recipients.
Galati Yacht Sales Honored as Member of Boating Industry Hall of Fame
All members of the Hall of Fame were honored at the gala, including Galati Yacht Sales. The Top 100 Hall of Fame recognizes those top Dealers who have won the coveted Dealer of the Year award twice. Galati Yacht Sales is now one of seven dealers nationwide that have been inducted into Boating Industry’s Hall of Fame; one of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions. Galati Yacht Sales first won the #1 dealer award in 2007 and again in 2008.
