Attendees of the 2023 Galati Rendezvous were treated to a truly unforgettable weekend in Longboat Key, Florida. The weekend was jam-packed with events, from lavish dinners to thrilling activities, ensuring that every moment was filled with excitement and adventure. The company was equally impressive, with like-minded individuals coming together to share their passion for boating. The Resort at Longboat Key Club provided the perfect backdrop for this gathering, with its luxurious amenities and stunning location. It was truly a weekend to remember for all those that attended.

Recap of Events – 2023 Galati Rendezvous in Longboat Key

The festivities began on Thursday with a warm welcome from Galati, offering attendees a delightful goodie bag and refreshing welcome drinks. The highlight of the evening was the glamorous cocktail party featuring an open bar, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and lively entertainment.

Friday, June 2

Friday kicked off with a sumptuous breakfast buffet at the Harbourside Ballroom. For those who wanted to indulge in a culinary adventure, there was a Charcuterie Board Class that started at 9:15. The class focused on the selection of cured meats, pates, cheeses, crackers, breads, and assorted fruits and vegetables. Alternatively, guests could participate in a Pickleball Tournament or enjoy free play on the courts.

At 10:30, guests were invited to a lively poolside gathering complete with games, music, and a mouth-watering taco and margarita bar. Later that day, yacht owners had the chance to show off their mixology skills during the “Docktail Competition.” With celebrity judges in attendance, owners were encouraged to create a unique cocktail and present it with flair and creativity. The judges rated each cocktail based on factors such as the drink’s name, flavor, creativity, enthusiasm, uniqueness, and relevance to the West Coast of Florida, Sarasota, The Resort at Longboat Key Club, Galati Yachts, and/or the owner’s boat manufacturer.

Later that evening, guests had the option of indulging in on-site dining or venturing out to explore the local culinary scene.

Saturday, June 3

On Saturday morning, attendees were treated to a special delivery of breakfast straight to their boats. Early-risers who attended the 9:15 engine maintenance seminar were also treated to a delicious breakfast while they learned about tips for maintenance and longevity, as well as insights from fellow yacht owners. It was the perfect start to another exciting day at the Galati Rendezvous.

The rest of the day was spent beachside on “North Beach” at The Resort headquarters. The Galati team provided food, drinks, and enough activities to keep even the most energetic type “A” personalities fulfilled. Kayaks, paddleboards, cornhole, volleyball, yard pong, pole frisbee, and Sea Bobs were just a few of the activities available. Also, for those looking to try their hand at efoil boarding, Fliteboard representatives and private trainers were on hand at the beach to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

The eagerly awaited Galati Yachts Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held at the Spike ‘n Tees, situated at the entrance of the resort, which gave guests views of the stunning sunset over the golf course. Attendees relived the unforgettable highlights of the weekend and celebrated their cherished moments. It was a magical evening under the twinkling stars.

Sunday, June 4

On Sunday morning, guests were treated to a special culinary surprise as fresh beignets straight from Café Du Monde were prepared on the docks. The sweet aroma of the fluffy, powdered-sugar-covered pastries filled the air, adding to the already unforgettable experience of the 2023 Galati Rendezvous at Longboat Key, Florida.
