2019 Ladies at the Helm
This past weekend we were honored to have the opportunity to host our 2019 Ladies at the Helm event at multiple Galati locations. Confident women make confident boaters and that was apparent at out Tampa, Anna Maria, Texas, and Destin locations on Saturday. All women of the family were invited to join us for an educational seminar where we offered hands-on training to help grow their boating skills. It was a great turn out with nearly 70 ladies registered between our four locations.
Boating 101
The morning consisted of a presentation held by the local Coast Guard Auxiliary. The ladies learned about important boating safety procedures while out on the water. Not to mention, each lady was provided a booklet to help assist in an additional lesson on boating jargon/glossy terms and becoming familiar with all aspects of a boat. After, the ladies took a break from learning and enjoyed lunch provided by Galati Yacht Sales.
Ladies Take On The Helm
Saturday afternoon was spent growing skill levels from an experienced captain at all of our locations. The ladies learned everything from basic boating techniques, knot tying skills, maneuverability skills aboard a yacht, and much more. Our Texas location even participated in a knot tying contest to see who could best put their skills to the test. Overall, it was a great time on the water while learning all things on boating safety, techniques, and more along the way.
After all was said and done, each lady that conquered the helm was awarded a certificate of completion and of course a champagne toast to end the day. Thank you and congratulations to all of our ladies that completed our Ladies at the Helm seminar this past weekend! The event proved to be a lot of fun for everyone. We are looking forward to providing similar events in the future.
