Florida West Coast Bluewater Series— Leg 1: The Galati Billfish Blast
Over the years Team Galati has sponsored a multitude of summer sport fishing tournaments, including the full list of this years sponsored tournaments. To add on, this year we are excited to be hosting a tournament at our very own Anna Maria Marina. Galati Yacht Sales will be sponsoring and holding the first leg of the 2019 Florida West Coast Bluewater Series, the Billfish Series on July 23rd, 2019. Known as the iron man of Bluewater fishing, the Florida West Coast Tournament is a 3-part series in the months of July and August. To qualify for the Florida West Coast Bluewater Series, you must participate in a minimum of 2 of the 3 tournaments. The 3-part series includes;
- Billfish Series Galati Anna Maria Island | July 23rd-27th, 2019
- Crosthwait Palmetto | August 6th-10th, 2019
- Old Salt Loop Clearwater | August 20th-24th, 2019
Florida West Coast Bluewater Series Winnings
This is a winner takes all tournament with billfish catch logs that will be collected for all three events. Prize money will be based on entries and will be 100 percent of the entry fees. The minimum pot is guaranteed to be $50,000. The team with the highest aggregate points from the series wins the Florida West Coast Bluewater Series. - Blue Marlin – 501 pts
- White Marlin – 250 pts
- Sailfish – 100pts
- Spearfish 100 pts
Extra Billfish Tag Points – Presented by the Billfish Foundation
- 20 points per tag Blue Marlin
- 10 points per White Marlin
- 5 points per Sailfish / Spearfish Each eligible species will be awarded upon video or photo submission.
