America is all about luxury, especially when it comes to yachts. Unlike other yacht manufacturers, Lazzara Yachts is a family-owned company based in the USA for over 50 years. In Tampa, Florida the company was born from the passion of brothers Brad and Dick Lazzara to produce custom, high-performance, high-quality motor yachts. Their inaugurating model was the Lazzara 76 in 1992.
The model was known for its popular wide-body deckhouse and the skylounge flying bridge. Out of the 48 units created, 30 had the deckhouse and 30 had the flying bridge. At the time, Lazzara Yachts were the only manufacturers making fully enclosed skylounge flying bridges at the sizes they were touting. The Lazzara 76 includes two staterooms in the front and three midship. One won't find any crowding on this boat, not even in the crew quarters, which are isolated from guests, but include twin-berth in the front and bunks in the back, two bathrooms, and even a study.
Even today, it is still a sought after cruiser for both expert yachtsmen and chartering. It was specially made to be large, user-friendly, and advanced.
Before Brad, Dick and the current Lazzara Yacht Corporation, their father, Vine Lazzara, was also an accomplished builder. Lazzara generational experience dates back to 1955 when Vine Lazzara built himself a 40' sailboat. From there, he created several successful ventures and eventually began making motor yachts himself.
Up until their closure in 2012, the Lazzara Yacht Corporation remained family-owned after being inherited by the sons of Brad and Dick Lazzara. Embedded in this company is three generations of passion and dedication to the building of quality hauls, intuitive functioning, and the luxury lifestyle.
One of the most popular models from the shipyard is the Lazzara LSX75. Captain Bill Pike, from Power & Motoryacht Magazine, when testing the LSX Quad 75, recalled that he couldn't even remember testing a boat that was as quiet as the LSX75. The Lazzaras have thought of everything. "She's one of the quietest, smoothest-performing vessels I've had the privilege of sea trialing in years," Pike said.
Each boat comes equipped with something you can only find on a Lazzara: the Integrated Ships Information System. This system is a monitoring program which integrates all the operating systems on each Lazzara yacht and then analyzes them for the ship's captain and crew. This innovation is what makes the Lazzara yachts much more informative from their competition.
Another specialization that set Lazzara Yachts apart from other shipyards was its three-day Lazzara Yachts University.
