Enter Before January 15 – Save $750 off Onsite Entry
Tournament Dates – January 19 – 21, 2017
The 54th Annual Buccaneer Cup Sailfish Release Tournament is right around the corner and the excitement is building. Boats from all over Florida and the East Coast are prepping for the event and with cold fronts scheduled to hit summer-like South Florida in the days prior to the tournament the fishing should be red hot!
If you enter now you can save a whopping $750 off the onsite entry fee and all you have to do is go to www.buccaneercup.com, enter and pay the entry fee. You can complete your angler list and enter the Calcutta at the captain’s meeting on January 19th. Remember, every penny raised by this tournament is donated to the Recreational Fishing Alliance (www.joinrfa.org).
The Buc Cup Digital Program is now available on the tournament website and Facebook Page or you can click this link (Buc Cup News). It includes the tournament schedule, rules and articles about the tournament, its sponsors, last year’s winners and more. You don’t want to miss out on it even if you’re not entering the tournament!
The Captains Meeting will be held at Sailfish Marina this year due to circumstances beyond our control, but it will include the usual food, open bar, music and fun. Captains Meet attendance is mandatory so come enjoy the evening with us and have a few drinks on us.
The Captains Meeting will be held on January 19 with onsite entry, registration and Calcutta entry starting at 4 PM at Sailfish Marina. Fishing days are January 20 and 21 and you can leave from and return to Lake Worth or Jupiter Inlets. The complete rules can be reviewed on the tournament website. The gala awards dinner will be held at the Sailfish Club of Florida starting with the open bar at 7 PM and a full seafood buffet dinner shortly thereafter. There will be a silent auction that includes some of the finest in fishing tackle, marine art, baskets of cheer and more. A free water taxi will be available from Sailfish Marina for tournament participants or you can drive to the club.
