The smallest offering in the seven-model V class, the new Princess Yachts V40 delivers the comfort, space, and dynamic handling of her larger siblings. From her sophisticated navigation system at the bow to her spacious swim platform at the stern, the V40 is built for fun and speed.
The new Princess Yachts V40 cuts an impressive silhouette in open waters and in port. Her deep-V hull is sculpturally built from a lightweight, resin-infused composite that allows the V40 to reach maximum speeds using less fuel. Twin Volvo D6-330 DP motors propel the V40 at speeds up to 38 knots on the way to her destination. This craft is a masterful blend of superior engineering and powerful propulsion.
Twin fuel tanks provide 192 gallons so mariners and their guests can enjoy a full day at sea without having to refuel. The fuel system incorporates high-capacity fuel filters and water traps, and fillers located on both the port and starboard decks for ease of refueling. The 24-volt electrical system features two heavy-duty batteries to start the engine and two spare heavy-duty auxiliary batteries. Twin duo-prop stern drives support an electro-hydraulic steering system with a hydraulic backup. An extractor fan keeps the engine room cool.
In the storage-filled cockpit, double seats allow two people to sit comfortably at the helm, where instrumentation panels show engine controls and fuel gauges. An echo sounder, speed and distance log, and VHF/RT are all part of the navigation system, and controls for the trim tabs, sterndrive trim, anchor winch, bilge pump, and windscreen wipers are close at hand.
A U-shaped bench and teak table comes with the option to convert to a double sunbed, and the nearby wet bar has a sink and a cool box to keep drinks and snacks handy. The V40 offers a transom gate that leads to the swim platform with a foldaway swimming ladder, hot and cold running shower, and space for a tender.
Warm teak decking flows throughout the interior of the V40, and an operable porthole in every cabin allow fresh air to circulate. The master suite features a double berth with storage below and a skylight to let even more light enter the room. A wardrobe with shelves offers plenty of storage space, and the en-suite bath includes a roomy shower, freshwater toilet, and porcelain sink. The guest berth offers twin beds, a sofa, and plenty of storage.
The galley includes every convenience for travelers who love to entertain friends and family. A two-burner gas stove and combination microwave/convection oven with grill accommodate even the most accomplished cooks. The refrigerator/freezer and generous storage allow for hosting parties, and there’s plenty of seating adjacent to the galley as well as above deck.
